This bookmark was made in Birmingham England by Addie and Lovekin. It is marked with the makers symbol and the marks for Birmingham and 1898. It is in the shape of a trowel with a turned ivory handle. The very tip of the trowel blade is also marked with a very small symbol, possibly masonic. The date is 1898.
