This bookmark was made in Coventry, England by Thomas Stevens in 1876 and is known as a Stevengraph. It was made for the Centenial celebration for the US. It is made of woven silk on a Jacquard loom and has a picture of George Washington. It says, "The first in peace, the first in war, the first in the hearts of his countrymen." The back is marked T Stevens Coventry England.
