This bookmark was made in the US by J. F. Fradley & Co., a small New York silver manufacturer in business from 1870 - 1936. It is in the shape of a man, Nicholas Nickelby, from the Charles Dickens book. It is marked Sterling, the cross hallmark, 1863 and 17. Also inscribed on the back is "Nicholas Nickelby". Date is 1890 - 1936.
