This bookmark is made in France and is a Stanhope or 'peeper'" bookmark. It is probably silver plate over brass and made between 1890 and 1920. If you look through the '"peep hole'" you can see 6 photographs of different buildings. The center says '"In Memory of Grange'". The six photos are: '"The Station'", '"Cartmel Church'", '"Grange from the Station'", '"Grange from YEWBARROWCRAG'", '"St. Paul''s Church'" and '"Grange Hotel'". It also says Made in France. There is some lettering in the center that is too small to read but I think is says Dublin. The handle of the bookmark pulls apart and a mechanical pencil is inside."
