It is a view of the bottom of a pair of feet and is an advertisement for the Tappan Shoe Mfg. Co. of Coldwater Michigan. The back of the bookmark says "The Best is none too good for our customers. Shoddy Goods are dear at any price." "Do you wear TAPPAN Shoes? --- If not, why not?"
