This bookmark was made in France as a souvenir of the Musee de L'Armee. It is silver plated brass, abalone and mother-of-pearl. The top has a bust of Napoleon surrounded by a wreath. Underneath there is an eagle. The Musee de L'Armee, located at the Invalides in Paris, France was originally built as a hotel for disabled soldiers (Invalides) by Louis XIV and now houses the Tomb of Napoleon 1st and the museum of the Army of France.
