 This bookmark was made in France. The top is a high relief bust of Napoleon as designed by the famous French artist E. Seurre. The top blade has a 5 pointed star and next to it is inscribed Malmaison which is the house that Napoleon's wife, Josephine purchased in 1799 and where he governed the country. It is now a museum and this is possibly a souvenir from there.
