This bookmark is from Oslo, Norway by Norsk Filigransfabrikk. It is marked with a makers hallmark and stamped 925. It is finished in a gold wash and has a translucent stained glass like design at the top called plique-a-jour. The dealer said it was made circa 1890 - 1900.

This bookmark is Canadian made circa 1920 - 1930. On the blade is written Victoria BC. At the top there is a crest made of enamel. The inscription, "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense" means 'evil to him who evil thinks' in old Norman French. It is finished in a gold wash and is marked with a hallmark and the word Sterling.

This bookmark is made in Norway by David Andersen. It is marked with his hallmark and 925. The David Andersen mark is described by the firm as a hammer and tong design, with the hammer in the center. It came into use in 1888. Norwegian law requires the degree of fineness to be followed by the letter S for silver. David Andersen chose to incorporate the S into their punch. Often the S was crossed by a diagonal line. It has an enamel four leaf clover on top and the blade is finished in a gold wash.

It is in the shape of a wide trowel. The blades are done in a gold wash. The smaller blade has the words Cushings Island. This is in Portland, Maine. The date is 1900 - 1910.

This bookmark was made in France. It is marked on the top blade and on the back of the bottom blade with a lozenge. Inside the lozenge are the letters J and H separated by some kind of animal. The top blade looks to be either gold plate or brass with enamel fleur de lis'. The longer bottom blade looks to be rose gold in color but the metal is unknown. The top is a fleur de lis.

This silver and enamel Egyptian Revival bookmark was made in Europe in the 1920s. It is a hollow repousse relief depicting a pharoh's head with two ankhs and stylized flowers. The piece is finished in a gilt wash over. It is marked 800 on the back and likely dates to the time when the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb inspired a new Egyptian Revival in design. The enamelled pharoah's head is set on a hinge, so it can be clipped over a page to help secure itself.
