This bookmark was manufactured in the US by Towle Silversmiths. It is marked with the familiar hallmark of the T enclosing a lion along with Sterling and the number 6. On top of the 6 is stamped the number 17. This is a very interesting piece because the front is a very detailed relief of a rose and the back has a scored picture of a woman with a feather hat. The date is 1890 - 1920.
